My music is what this site is about. Those tracks listed below are more or less finished. They are all mp3's and encoded at 192 256 kbps. That's not the best quality, but it'll have to do. If you want some of the tracks in CD-quality, please send me an email and we'll work something out.
Electronic noise: Turn it on (8:10 - 18.7Mb - 320kbps - 02/01/2010)
Guitar and bass. Simple piece in D Minor: Lo-key 1 (3:39 - 8.4Mb - 320kbps - 01/30/2010)
Angry, dystopic, realmusik with some guitar: Anger Road Trip (5:21 - 12.2Mb - 320kbps - 08/31/2009)
(After five months of silence): A beloved Russian pedal was resurrected. This is the quick result: ETA 19:30 (09:10 - 16.7Mb - 256kbps - 26/9/2007)
A quick piece to promote the forthcoming show in Stoke-on-Trent. This is called Steps. I was sitting at a bench by a pond/lake (not sure which) in central Copenhagen (The Black Pond). Joggers was jogging (big surprise) by and I happened to be equipped to field recording. I did a lot of takes of foot steps on gravel. The birds - sea gulls esp. - sang along. A bit of work in the digital realm and this was the result. Steps (08:06 - 14.8Mb - 256kbps - 25/4/2007)
Ferries from my small island was reduced drasticly by bridges, but a few remains. I like ferries. Here is a piece made from field recordings from a ferry: The Last Ferry (06:00 - 10.9Mb - 256kbps - 14/4/2007)
Paraphrasing a controversial sculpture just outside Herning. All sound from a field recording from a visit to the sculpure.Elia (09:17 - 17.0Mb - 256kbps - 1/4/2007)
Some tracks (catching up):
A new track with some new ideas. Strange title, but then I'm in a title crisis. Late And Sorry (07:36 - 13.9Mb - 256kbps - 20/3/2007)
And another live one. This time a jam session with my wife. She plays the lower half of an upright piano with a guitar pick. I play the trumpet and computer. Wife Jam (14:42 - 26.9Mb - 256kbps - 29/4/2006)
Yet another live track. I'm working on adding more rhythm - but it ends up pretty ambient. This is with guitar, clock, wine glass and a soft synth (Wusik). Live 5 (14:10 - 25.9Mb - 256kbps - 19/4/2006)
Two uploads in one day! This piece is done live, which I'm going to be doing a lot more, eventually with an audience. Bass, trumpet and mineral water (!). A bit harsh sometimes, but I like the feel of it. Water and Metal (9:15 - 16.9Mb - 256kbps - 31/3/2006)
Another ambient-y piece. This is played with traditional instruments, namely bass, guitar and piano. The piano plays a prolonged jazz-like progression. The bass is recorded through all my delay pedals. The guitar through a maze of digital processing. The title hints at the coming spring time, but could have a much more sinister meaning as well... Mmm in the Woods (6:45 - 12.7Mb - 256kbps - 31/3/2006)
An ambient piece based on computer noise (but very nice). Lots of deep bass content. This I Endure (11:30 - 21.0Mb - 256kbps - 11/3/2006)
I'm very interested in the noise genre. There are some beautiful pieces of music to be found there. I had a go, but I couldn't keep my hands of the guitar. Pedals, guitar and some computermangling, it's called Hero. (05:55 - 10.8Mb - 256kbps - 8/3/2006)
Another piece with new composition/improvisation techniques. Four tracks, processed mainly with guitar pedals (Keep: guitar, Your: bass, Eyes: delay pedals, Closed: television). Keep Your Eyes Closed. That's the title, but could be a way to listen too (05:35 - 10.2Mb - 256kbps - 6/3/2006)
I sometimes experiment with composition/improvisation techniques. This piece relies heavily on what could be called visual composition/improvisation. It's called Penance. There's pops and clicks - they're intentional. Enjoy! (05:28 - 10Mb - 256kbps - 2/22/2006)
Got the flu. So annoying, but I'm at home and has time on my hands. Things are working really slowly, but I experiment with feedbacking some pedals through a small mixer, and ends up with this: Review Your Purchase. Besides pedal noise there is trumpet, bass, and guitar. The title is coincidental. (4:48 - 6.59MB - 192kbps - 2/15/2006).
If I should choose an instrument for a deserted island it would be my trumpet. I don't play enough, so my chops are very poor. But I love the trumpet. In this piece I used a cheap hunting horn, trumpet and valve trombone. It's simply called The Horns. It has a recognizable rhythm (4/4@180bpm) and big washes of manipulated horn sounds. (5:41 - 7.81MB - 192kbps - 1/20/2006).
This track, Ignored, was made using only a bunch of old guitar pedals (I use pedals a lot more now than when I was a guitarist, it seems) where the main sound source was a wah and a delay. The recordings was done late at night and the concept was to make quiet recordings. This is somehow reflected in the piece, which is an abstract, sometimes harsh travel in a foreign soundscape. (6:28 - 8.90MB - 192kbps - 1/10/2006).
